Outside the Ozone are giant Olympic Rings filled with Cranberries. 96% of the world's cranberries come from the USA and Canada. Richmond produces almost 90% of the cranberries grown in Canada.
Here is the entrance to the Ozone and the security checkpoint. There were over 30,000 people on hand.
Canadian Wheelchair athlete Rick Hansen, who did a year long marathon around the world in 1985/86 to raise money for cancer, was the final torchbearer of the night and lit the community cauldron.

There is a bridge that goes from the Airport across to where the Olympic Skating Oval is in Richmond (the No. 2 Road Bridge). This bridge has been lit up for the Games and here are a few pictures.
